Anyone ever had cluster flies keep getting into the house? I have got them but don't know if they are hibernating in the roof or getting in from somewhere nearby. Had a look in the loft but couldn't see anything.

All started this week, now up to 15 flies a day, can get in to the 100s in spring apparently so any advice gratefully received. I've read some stuff online but wondered if anyone actually has any experience of dealing with them. Never even heard of them before this week.

Council should have a pest control department in your area.  They should be able to advise/kill the little fuckers for you.

Swindon Council axed their pest control service last year. There are private firms of course but hoping someone might be able to recommend the best way to deal with the little bastards before I waste any money

we have a small fly problem, can't find the fucking source of them though.

controlled in the summer through fly paper and improved the tennis forehand with an electric fly zapper.

if they are back this summer it's professionals time..

Yes, had them before in the roof. Did a call out to local firm cost £80 I think and they smoke them. I would get it sorted, try not to open the loft too much to investigate as you don't want them all coming out!

Uh, they are all on their backs, dead? Did you place them there one by one with tweezers?

That seems like an obsession. I think I will give it a miss?
