I must be crazy to be in a loony bin like this.

He provided a shot in the arm when desperately needed and seemed to have steadied the team.

Whatever the reason for his departure I wish him well and hope to see him in and around football again.

A great shame, obviously conjecture about the problem, just trust it can be overcome and he can continue in football in some way or another.

Certainly has helped us out of the mire currently and a pity he could not continue the work.

Assuming it is a recurrence of depression as seems likely then like everyone else I'm really sorry for him.  Clinical depression is a horrid business.

Really sorry to hear that, he was doing pretty good.

All the very best for the future Martin.

who knows arriba, who knows.

could yet be unrelated to his mental issues, though that seems most likely.

The fella's wellbeing is more important than football. Hope he's ok whatever the reason really.

I'm glad he's had the bottle to call it quits now rather than go on. That in itself takes strength. Good luck to the bloke going forward, being of a particular age, he'll always go down as a bit of a hero for me, all the best Lingy!

Sam Ling   @SamLing_

He wants to thank everyone at Swindon for the support he was given but his family and health are more important than anything
