Anyone on here got Amazon Prime ?

I've been thinking about it for a while but now they've increased what is included - TV, Kindle Books, Music, and Photo Storage as well as postage it seems a good deal - but it is ??

Thoughts and opinions welcomed please Teffers.

Yep, although I bagged a student deal so have a 6 month free trial then pay half the standard price.

The next day delivery comes in useful. The selection of TV and movies is good and complements Netflix well.

I didn't realise it came with photo storage too. I'm in the middle of backing up 40GB of photos to Google Photos, if I find this could've saved money I'll be pissed at myself!

I know! I went through Google, Dropbox, OneDrive and even Flickr as potential backup solutions and didn't even consider Amazon. Oh well, a bit late now. Google is only $2 per month for 100GB of storage. Plus some of the algorithm shit they do on the photos is amazing; for example, it automatically categorises certain types of images and has created a 'beer' collection for me Cool

Google storage is free if you keep to a certain size of photo

if it wasn't £80 in one go, I'd be a lot more interested in Prime!

I realise that, but as a "proper" backup solution I want to keep original files not smaller versions.

Just purchased a year of AP. On first look it has a better range of shows than Netflix.

They've just added all the music streaming as well. I was half asleep looking at it, but I think it said a million songs. Has there even been that many? Maybe I was drunk. Yes that will be it.

you can do a monthly subscription - not as cost effective over 12 months. edit: wait it's 5.99 but is for video only. seems a con.

it was 59 the other day too..

They cut the price in the run up to Black Friday.

If you belong to any type of professional body, there's a strong chance you can get a student deal on Amazon Prime.
