Shame today, Robert finally playing in the position i think he should be (the attacking one of a 3 man midfield) we start strong by the sound of things and he gets injured!

How can the transition from Ireland to Swindon be that hard, seems crazy to me

Being away from family with no mates in the area can be hard for some.

You'd think that he'd want to at least unpack his kit and give it a go though. Absolutely, mind bogglingly odd. Wonder if there is a bit more to it (private family stuff, not sinister)

Andrew Steele-Davis ‏@andrew_FLICW 28s
Jordan Stewart has gone back to Ireland. Mark Cooper told me that's pretty much the end of his Town career. A real shame #stfc @LaureJames

FFS. he's 20, not 12. It can be daunting but..

It's almost as bad as our mate Joeys move to West Ham all those years ago....!!

Its no different to an 18 year old moving away to uni. What a fanny. What a waste of money as well. He begged for a chance then got it and didnt fancy it. Or maybe he just didnt like Cooper and or Williams.

This season feels like a carbon copy of 10/11 aka a disaster.

Its a little different in that at Uni you have several similar aged people with similar interests to yourself ...

oh, wait, you are right.

Reg's ridiculed 52 points post doesn't look so pessimistic now Sad

It was pretty obvious, that replacing the players we lost in the summer and then just before the window closed was going to be difficult.  There was some quality, so it was never going to be easy, and so it's proved.  Throw in  misfortune with injuries, and we are in a relegation dog fight.

What now becomes interesting is normal wisdom is you scrap your way out of a mess....like Kingy just about managed after T*dd's side didn't work.

That though is very much contrary to the model.....think it was DV who suggested that Power might not be too concerned about trying to do the same in Div 4, so will be interesting to see how he reacts.

I wonder whether he came over expecting to be in the first team from the off but when it became  clear that at least initially he was seen as one for the future and thus not getting game time the homesickness began.

To be fair to the lad he went from being a bloody big fish in a small pond to a nothing player who may get ten minutes here and there - must have been a shock.

There just seems to be too much strangely going on at the moment, Vigorous falling out, going and coming back. Stewart disappearing without even playing a game?

Feels a disjointed and drifting club to me. Has done since Wembley.

The transfer window did temporarily allay those fears, Power put money in for some good players credit there, but they are creeping back in.  Can't quite put my finger on it.

On Cooper, I wasn't there today so can't comment on his post match. But in the past I've wondered if he was watching a different game with his "played well" line. Up to now I have assumed that's him just protecting his squad, trying to defuse the reaction to a bad performance.

Beat Oxford and win on Saturday and everything will be fine again mind!

Nah! He's reached the point of no return for me.

It is patently obvious he has no idea how to sort out our calamitous defending - he's had nearly 2 years FFS
