As TEF is a resource of unlimited information i thought it would be a good place to ask.

My old chap passed away in the early hours of this morning. We have identified a suitable establishment for a wake. I need an outside caterer for the after service bunfight (you don't know my family). Fifty persons max. Don't want ASDA smart price, Tesco Value Range or Sainsbury's Basics type gopping shyte. However, we're also not talking Beluga Caviar canapes either. If someone has or knows of a fledgling catering co. We'd consider them but if you have a personal experience of a good one that would be great. My poor old Step mum is beside herself and both sides of the Family are chipping in to make this as painless as possible for the old Dutch.

TIA

Sorry for your loss.

I know you say you have found the right establishment, but the Southbrook Inn have a great room and offer catering.

The sandwich shop in the home section of the outlet do sandwiches etc. for outside business.

I've no idea of the potential cost but I do know that http://outsaucecatering.com/ provide fantastic food.  Give Janice Nicklen a call on the number on the site and tell her that Kay gave you her number.  Oh, and sorry for your loss.  I hope you get something sorted for the wake.

Thank you again everyone. I'll pass this on to my step mum & step sister who are organsing this, they have a handle on this and will ensure my old chap, gets the send off he deserves.
