Got to be the shortest international retirement in history?
Made himself look a bit of a tit in the process.

My advice: Read anything posted from an Iraqi football source/fan and then just get on with the rest of your day without overthinking it.

It's a shame some fans have kinda, sorta turned on Yaser after all this. Which is both a shame an typical.

Don't think anyone's turned on him because of Iraq. People, including me, have questioned his commitment to STFC solely judged on his poor performances.

...and I think football fans are overly critical of footballers. We haven't had a truly uncommitted player since David Prutton/Leon Clarke.

David Prutton picked up a "sit back and watch the game go on around me" endorsement whilst at Swindon Town, and has on the back of it since been picked up by Sky Sports as a match-day commentator.

LinkedIn gag, there.
