Balmy "decided not to do it at the weekend, decided to do it today" - Cooper

That explains that then!

Sounds like Barry was the pick of the young lads according to Sam

I thought he was dire. Randall had a decent game. Brophy is quite rapid, slipped for the goal though.

First half we were comfortable but second half was utter crap. That Collins who scored for them looked decent, would fit our remit to buy, but Liverpool and Burnley are after him.

Top sledging by Belford in the penalty shoot out Cool

Oh and the beer was crap.

That was fucking woeful.

Newport are awful and I see a season of struggle for them.

We should of steamrolled them in the first half but sat back after the goal, overplayed and gave the ball away cheaply. Bit us in the arse second half but the Newport goal did look offside...but it was coming.

Fucked off before the pens, never watch em...

Glad we are In the hat and hopeful that the new bloods will inject some more life into us.

Cooper didn't look happy at halftime...but...when does he ever.

Thomas signing looks good.

We will all know where we stand come end of November...

Brophy and Barry some painful moments and some good bits tonight. But I remember Rossi Branco having an absolute stinker on his JPT debut and yet he has stuck in there and despite a few howlers along the way gave a real captains performance tonight. So stick with these kids and you never know........Thought Will Randall was much more positive and effective than he was v Exeter too and fair play for scoring the winning penalty/ Tom Smith nearly won it in full time and he apparently was up next and also thought he looked good. Small ........but good

Probably a lot to do with us being very short on the bench tonight.  Keep ball, stay out of trouble fitness wise.

Scratch team did the job.

Might be scratch, but most will be playing on Saturday.

Vig will probably be back in goal and Thomas starting up front.

Should have had Belford winding up the newport penalty takers. Was most amusing

Something about him winds me up. He's very very keen to be liked by the fans.
