I expect that most league clubs would like to pick up young talent as we do to a degree. The difference is that we're good at it.

He may mean its riskier to bring in untried youngsters (than more established players) I guess.

He's just ignored that given (we are told) we can't afford established players there isn't much choice.

Actually, I think that was your point. Erm, yeah, I agree.
Any signing is a risk. I mean 'established' players like Prutton and Harley were just such a success. Some of our fans just don't seem to grasp the basics of football.

No doubt there are risks either way. And I'm not against the way we are doing things at all.

But there is a case to make in that, how many teams get promoted using our method? Most spend to bring in quality/experience. Some don't work out, but on balance to me it seems most who go up have spent.

Of course we could be the first to do so using our method. Yeovil have already done so on a low budget.

And the spending option isn't currently available to us - this is what needs to sink in across the fan base IMO.

Exactly. Anyone remember the Cureton/Thorpe dream team up front? That was a big roaring success.

It's exactly this. You look on Twitter and you get the same old idiots banging on that Power is stealing money and saying we should be spending the '£4 million' from the Luongo and Gladwin sale on players. They seem oblivious to the 2014 loss, or the training ground purchase or the 60% salary cap. It's embarrassing how much they moan about Power based more on their ignorance rather than anything he has done. That's why I can't listen to these phone ins or the texts after games as people just make a fool of themselves!

What do we think then. Simply following on his promise of more phone-ins or has Power got something to say/news?

I'd be surprised if it's not simply the former.

 I do think so, possibly it did seem like the question he was hinting at....

Don't think Sam M will be happy about the "cut and paste" comments.
