I've had three Mondeos inc current model. I have had Insinias on occasions when my mondy has been in for services etc. fucking hate them. That said I trialed an estate Mondy. Not for me as the vacuum created when driving pulls all the shit off the road when it's wet, then again maybe all estates do that? The power of the mondy us pretty good.

Got me a Mondeo 140 Zetec TDCI Estate this afternoon.

Not as pretty as an Insignia but drives like a dream

Think you made the right choice, the mk2 and mk3 I had was great. So much better than my '07 Avensis to drive. Can't see the mk4 and mk5 regressing.

Missed this one, probably too late now, but I ha an Insignia estate when my passatt was in for a repair. It was a horrible, horrible car, felt really big & heavy, like driving a tank. All the bodywork is thick & chunky which reduces visibility so you are driving a huge car looking out of tiny windows. Never been a huge fan of Fords, but between the 2 you mentioned, you made the right choice
