OK Guys, Wheres the most reliable place in Swindon to get a service for my car Its just the 1st year interim service and im not interested in doing it myself. Its a 2014 Ford Focus ST and Ford want 230 quid.  |

I can't help with a recommendation, but if you take it anywhere other than Ford, make sure they use Ford original/approved parts.

Always the same. Pros and cons, yes it costs more but at least you get the stamp. As its a new year car I would bite the bullet.

It's on a lease. When I got it I asked if I had to come back to ford for servicing and they said no.

£230 is a snip. My Civic Type R service at 60,000 was £695!

This is its first service. I've read the terms of my lease and ad long as I use ford approved parts or those of same quality I'm free to go wherever.
I've had quotes of 100 quid and less.

So I found this site called servicing stop. You give them details of car and location and they book you in with a local garage.
They picked the car up when they said they would did the work and dropped it back off when they said they would.
Confirmed all parts where ford approved to comply with warranty and I couldn't fault it, all for the cost of 74 quid,
In this case the garage used was man at home garage whom I'd never heard of but would not hesitate using again.

I know the first service is only an oil & filter change, but that seems a bit too cheap for genuine parts.

Probably not as you would need an invoice/receipt.
OEM parts for a minor service would be more than £70 surely?

Yes of course but you wouldn't have a stamp in the book, therefore invalidating the warranty. |
