No need to replace it with anything. I guess my feelings are that football players & fans in the UK are more diverse than in the 1930s & a hymn to some make believe character seems totally irrelevant. However I am glad you were stood up in your front room and belting it out before the game.  |

I saw plenty of diverse faces singing it out loud from both sides because it's tradition even though nearly all like you no nothing of its meaning. |
