Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but this year has to be the most interesting season for 'the west's' sporting teams, by that I mean HTV/BBC west. So far....

Football

Swindon Town - Play Off Final
Bristol Rovers - Play off winners
FGR - Play offs
Cheltenham - relegated
Yeovil - relegated
Bristol City- promoted and JPT masters of the universe.

Rugby Union

Bath - premiership finalists (amazing today by the way, what a back division they have).
Gloucester - won a cup and into qualifiers for Champs Cup.
Bristol - top table and into Play offs.

Might be worth betting on Somerset and Gloucs CC to do something!

Surely there can't have been another season like it, can there?

Swindon fans hated him because they thought he was biased towards City...

City fans thought he was biased towards Rovers...

Rovers thought he was biased towards Swindon...

and so it goes...

Somewhere, I've got an HTV thing on video done by Roger....Flashback for the Fans...put aside your prejudices it is good.

Recorded the STFC stuff, but only watched the Bristol shows, so can't remember but Terry Cooper might have got one as the man who saved the 82ers.  Rovers was probably Bannister and Warboys....I was hoping for something on Harold Jarman or Alfie Biggs, but you can't always get what you want.

Yes, I have several, and no they don't.

I like the idea of hoarding, insofar as it provides masses of interesting stuff, but have always managed to be selective.
