50x500cm is pretty tiny when you think about it. Look at the picture in the original post and think just how short that would be. Probably not even possible to read it from half way across the pitch. If possible, 80x800cm should be a minimum in my opinion.

I think I've found somewhere that sells it in 1.5m widths. So I could buy 5m of that to make a 75cm tall and 10m wide.

That'd definitely work.
