I have just booked a hotel room at the Chesterfield Travelodge for £45 with free cancellation up to the day and one at Sheffield Premier Inn for the same price with the same cancellation deal...

I'd recommend getting on that Wink

You probably only needed one, they're so close to each other.

Yeah, but I'm super lazy. It's easy enough to cancel one (or both).

Anyway, just means I've booked a room before any of the Franchise customers can Wink

Am I right in thinking that our game in hand comes after we play Preston?

I'm pretty sure that IF that set of circumstances played out though, they would come out with a brand new kit.

How about a nice white kit like Wembley 69  Sofa

So, Preston have 3 away games left to play and us, of course, at home.  The dirty franchise have 3 home games and an away day at Rochdale to contend with, hopefully 'Dale will still have something to play for by then, they also have an Orient side still fighting for their lives this weekend so could be a tough fixture.

It's not over yet.

If I go glass half empty for a minute and we end up fighting it out in the Playoffs, I do think the youth of the team will be a benefit. They'll all be raring for it, especially if when we make it to Wembley. With Gladwin on form, Nath, Louis, Branco, Kasim back, we'll be set I think. Just need Smith and Willo to be firing again, but if they continue their bit of a grey patch I have faith in Hylton and Obika.

If we end up at Wembley again I am 100% sure we're going to remove the hoodoo. 100%.

I'd now say Franchise are marginal favourites, due to fixtures and superior goal difference.

That makes me feel so very, very sick.  If they go up and we don't I may never go home, my French social security has been in waiting for 10 years now...

surely Preston are still favourites. we still need someone else to beat them imo. it's a tough ask for it to be us, though not impossible.

anything can happen. mk drew with vale not long ago for example

I said a while ago that 91 points would probably seal an auto....Franchise can get that with 4 wins, we can get it with 5 wins and Preston with 3 wins. What makes it difficult for us is that Preston could lose to us, win their 3 away and still get auto on GD.

What's not been massively commented on as far as I can see, is that last night means a point on Saturday will at least guarantee 4th, which considering Blades were right up our arse this time last week is good.

Not if we beat them 6-0 Reg!
I think the best approach for the team is to consider auto promotion as dead and buried.  I'd hazard a guess that 3rd & 4th place teams generally do better in play offs but that a team heart broken and spent after going all for auto might come unstuck.  I have not checked the stats, but my memory banks of 1993 support this view.
