Always thought Phil was one of the better Adver reporters, sadly he lost his wife to cancer recently and is now fundraising for a disabled pavilion for Purton Cricket Club where he helps out.  His son is a county player in his age group and sadly his mum missed her son getting a century as there was no disabled access.  If anybody comes across any fundraising please support it!    Thank you

Nice bloke is Phil, spent many a game with him at the CG when he was reporting for the BBC. Didn't know he lost his wife she couldnt have been much over 40, shame.

I've passed this onto the Trust and the Club. Not sure what they can do if anything, but an article or tweet here & there wouldn't hurt.

It went up so quickly! The Swindon Town FC's media guy, Tom, is also going to look into putting it in the community section of the programme on Saturday. Smiley
