Franchise are still relevant though. City are only (net) 4 points above us. We win our game in hand (10), we beat them (7) and Preston beat them (4). Simple.  It's not all that unrealistic, it wasn't long ago that Preston looked to be out of it. City had a poor result today, at home. Have they not just lost their key striker? I don't think any of us would be surprised if their unhinged manager loses the plot and they capitulate. As things stand now it looks as though they have it wrapped up, it could look quite different in a couple of weeks or so though. |

If we go to Preston with second place within reach then I will be very happy.
This. Great win today but we are not playing that well at the moment, whereas Preston are on fire. Can't see us keeping the pace up with them especially with the games we have. |

It's not all that unrealistic,
I think us catching City is unrealistic. I don't think us and Preston beating City is impossible. And since Preston are 5 point behind if they win their games in hand.... If we are still in the race when the time comes we have a difficult morale dilemma coming up: - Needing City to beat Preston, I''ll feel dirty wanting them to win - Beating Preston leading to City's championship/promotion. I'll feel less bothered if we somehow move into second mind |

Swindon are one of the few clubs I find completely charmless, maybe it's because we don't have a great record against them but most likely it's because I can't think of a single redeeming feature they have; they always come across as collectively arrogant, their fans always seem to fancy themselves even though they have little cause to, their current manager is a highly irritating pompous big head who is consistently condescending towards all other L1 sides when interviewed and it's a completely unfriendly place to visit irrespective of if you go there as a football fan or not. That's why I'd love to beat them or at the very least not lose to them.
