unfortunately its preston that is more relevant to us

We need to beat them at Deepdale and then better one more of their results.  Well within reach.

Think the amnesty for bookings is 2 April, I think.

Thought he said on radio it was mid April.
Hope you're right

Pre game quote from the Vale forum.

Quote
Swindon are one of the few clubs I find completely charmless, maybe it's because we don't have a great record against them but most likely it's because I can't think of a single redeeming feature they have; they always come across as collectively arrogant, their fans always seem to fancy themselves even though they have little cause to, their current manager is a highly irritating pompous big head who is consistently condescending towards all other L1 sides when interviewed and it's a completely unfriendly place to visit irrespective of if you go there as a football fan or not. That's why I'd love to beat them or at the very least not lose to them.

Well he never got his wish today did he? Wink

Franchise are still relevant though.

City are only (net) 4 points above us. We win our game in hand (10), we beat them (7) and Preston beat them (4). Simple. Smiley Smiley Smiley

We've won our must win game. Doncaster is not a happy hunting ground for us so any points there will be a bonus, assuming 7 wins will be enough for the autos (incl. winning at Preston).

A win at Donny would be monumental.....we've only ever played them in my life time....10 visits, no wins...ever.

They've had some proper shit sides in that time....makes no difference, Belle Vue or Keep Moat....makes no difference.

A point would be acceptable against that background.....the potential advantages of finishing 3rd are starting to show.... the hunt for 6th place is just getting silly now.

Joking aside, although ours are difficult games coming up, Preston have an improving Peterborough, an on form Barnsley (away) and a playoff chasing Fleetwood (away) in their next three games.

Unfortunately they are shit hot themselves right now. Laugh, but they could win the league.

It's going to the wire, I think the penultimate game v Preston will be mammoth.

"Collectively arrogant, always fancy themselves, manager is a highly arrogant pompous big head"...Jesus wept, where does he get that from (although maybe he thinks Di Canio is still in charge which would at least explain that one)

Not a great place to go as an away fan though, I'll give him that (although neither is Burslem)...

Just edited my post, but at this rate Preston could still win the league, as absurd as it sounds.

If we go to Preston with second place within reach then I will be very happy.
