Just wonder if anyone else on here is a listener or am I old before my time?

I got listening whilst commuting as any podcast was a bonus and now working at home it's part of everyday?

Christ, not heard that for about 50 years, is Walter Gabriel still in it?

There are two things on Radio 4 that force me to turn over: the Archers and Thought for the Day.  They both get on my nerves - Thought for the Day because I find it really preachy and irritating; but I'm not sure about the Archers.  It just does.

But you're happy to tune into You & Yours and The Money Programme? Hmmm

They're never on when I'm listening.  (Woman's hour is mid-morning on a weekday, isn't it?)

I was raised on such war-time classics as Music While You Work, and Worker's Playtime.

Walter had one of the great accents....

Not as far as I know, although I think the longest serving character has been in it for over 60 years with the same actress!

The only soap I've ever been addicted to.
Normally listen to the Omnibus edition but tonight's episode has the "shock" ending that David's not selling the farm after all. Well, surprise surprise!

Not that anyone's interested, but there's a load of music from this era on this bloke's website:

Only for those of us who remember how stultifyingly boring radio was back in the day,

You have to have a bit of respect for June Spencer. Well sort of. If she was a better actress she'd have had more job offers in the last 100 years.
