The people of OTIB do seem to forget that the only club who have actually gone out of business out of the 2 of us is the 82ers.  And at that time they failed to pay many local businesses the debts they owed them.

But they hold the moral high ground.  Clearly.

Which was the whole point of winding the club up.....and one of the reasons why the Ashton Gate 8 were treated so shabbily, you can't really wind a club up, saying you're  skint and then pay the players what they're owed for their contracts.

So they just treated them like pariahs for the following years....class.

But they will tell you that was 33 years ago and that doesn't matter because its too long ago, whereas we have been in admin twice recently (in comparison) and that Power is obviously a crook who does not want to pay the bills on time and only pays them when they are threatened with court.

Also we should be relegated out of the league and deducted 100+ points because we do this reguarly.

Oh and by the way did I say that we are cheats? unlike Ayling on Saturday who did not at all deliberatly handle the ball in his own penalty area, not ever would they cheat, that would be absurd for such a clean cut team with a much lower booking rate than we have. Oh and that all our team is made up from loan players and thats cheating because they don't have any loan players at all, never have done.

What would the punishment be now if a club declared bankruptcy?

The same as Hereford, kicked out of the league to the highest level of the lower leagues that will take them when reformed.

There's a massive difference between going down easily and diving. Nathan Thompson is probably best example, when he has to run it out of defence he sometimes gets in dodgy positions, draws the foul and wins the free kick. That's modern football

So, what's worse? A club where their players may take a tumble or one whose players kick the shit out of the opposition.

Which is what the 82ers intentions were as soon as the whistle blew.

It's the fact that it blew up in their faces so spectacularly that they and their manic manager couldn't stomach

Of course, the rules were changed after the 82 ers shenanigans, to prevent other clubs "phoenixing" and staying where they were...so clubs like Hereford, Aldershot, Newport County, Scarborough, and Maidstone have a lot to thank the 82ers for.

It was very decent of the supporters club to put up that plaque, 27 years after the event....made  a change from the campaign of abuse, threatening phone calls etc, that those 8 lads were subject to at the time....

Oh definitely what the 82ers do is worse. We need to protect our players and I see making the most of fouls as actually something that makes us a better side because we can't be bullied out of games

I would be surprised to see many more than 300 Town fans going there on a cold Tuesday night in February.

As long as its more than the 136 franchise fans that made it to Bradford

Still find it interesting that in the top 3 there is one are formed from whole scale morally repugnant theft, one from a bankrupt club screwing people over and one formed by a vicar.  And we're the horrible club?

I can't believe I've read on OTIB that they rather Franchise scum go up instead of us...no proper football fans would want that. And yes, as much it would hurt, I would prefer Poxford to get promoted over Franchise.

It's because we're raining on their parade and it's been quite fun to date.
