Hello.

I'm moving back to Swindon next week and would be grateful for the TEF's sage counsel. The idea is that in this thread I will ask you for suggestions/recommendations for services. This may be for a car service, or a GP's, or where is the best place to pick up desperate women who have low self esteem and aren't too picky.

The area I'm moving to is Old Town, at the top of Drove Rd. The first request is......

Can anyone recommend a dentist?

I know I can (and have) Google this info, but if anyone can actually give first hand reviews (positive, or stay the fuck away!) that will help in determining my choices.

Thank you.

There's an NHS dentist in Old Town. Euro Dental, on Bath Road.
I've been with them for years, never had any problems.

Private or nhs.

The one next to bbc swindon is good. Expensive, but you get what you pay for.

I live on Drove Road. My dentist is on Victoria Road. It's a private one, but very good. It's Ebenezer House dental. My GP is next to it - Victoria Cross. It's fine.

I was with Euro dental for years. I should have left after the time I had a routine filling which then had me in agony for a week and I eventually begged them to remove the tooth. it was fine before they ruined it. They ballsed up my appointment some time after that blamed me for it and a new dentist was opened nearer to me so I changed. To cut a long story short my new dentist found a lot of issues with me on my first appointment with him that led to having to have some teeth removed. If Euro dental had done their job properly then issues would have been picked up and I'd still have my teeth(I unknowingly had a tooth that had been dead for ages, which then damaged the roots of nearby teeth and I had a large cyst there)
Euro dental stopped offering scaling after a while which before was part of the check up too. They basically rush you in and out and have loads of patients. I rate them about as highly as I do Swindon motor park
I know of quite a few people who have left them as they are were not happy with them too. My dentist is in Eldene so I won't bother recommending as it's not near you herthab

My dentist is in Gorse Hill, the GH Dental practice.  The main man is swedish although he trained in this country, Mr Dibnah.  Always tries to help out in the event of an emergency and is very competent - thoroughly recommended.

Clyde House on Bath Road is a decent NHS dentist. Never had an issue there.

Good question. I need a salon where they're experienced in my style. It takes a lot of skill to maintain this look.
