The Travelling Band, one of my favourite bands, and a bunch of bloody lovely lads, had their van with all their kit in stolen last night. It was last seen driving out of Manchester towards Bury.

Here's a picture of it - If you see it, phone the police and report it.

Their Facebook post announcing it, along with their very extensive (and expensive...) list of stuff that was stolen, is here with more info. https://www.facebook.com/thetravellingband/posts/10154915610195080

I will gladly buy multiple pints for anyone who has information and helps them get their stuff back.

Normally drive down that way quite a bit but not at the moment. Hope the stuff is found and returned soon.

Big fan of the Travelling band too and was gutted for the boys when I found out about it yesterday.

Funny to have two big fans of a tiny (relatively) northern band on a Swindon football forum. The TEF never ceases to amaze.

One of my favourite gigs ever was seeing them at the Lexington in Angel with Ellen and the Escapades. Brilliant.

The van (with all the stuff in!) has been recovered! Hallelujah!

This will end up being the best thing that's ever happened to them. Loads of people who'd never heard of them (like me) will have checked out their music and some of them (unlike me) will become fans.

I was thinking the very same earlier, but they deserve the extra publicity frankly. Doubtless some mouth-breather will accuse them of having their stuff stolen 'on purpose'.

Dead pleased to find they had found the van with everything...bit of an odd one.

Doubt their exposure from this has penetrated too far into the wider public domain, other than a few of us fans piping up about how good they are and one or two taking a look.

Although if they could be spurred into doing another tour in the Spring, that would be most welcome, wasn't able to make it to any of their dates in October.
