Yeah I thought both would be about 3’s. Can see one of those things happening maybe but both would be a major shock

Anyway, best night’s boxing since lockdown either way

Have a feeling the Taylor match will be a draw but Whyte to be knocked out is a good shout.

Will stick my sunday horsies on here if anyone is interested?

I've used "Place only" markets recently and you tend to get better odds than the place part when betting e/w. So instead of betting e/w, I bet for the win on an acca and then for the place on another. Essentially the same bet but more bang for your buck if the place part comes in. Plus, if you want you can usually select an extra place for some security/insurance (had I been on it today, I would've been covered for that one horse let down).

In this instance it was the first fucker that failed, which is why I'm annoyed as the other 4 placings/winners duly did as they "should" and had I been tracking them, I still would've picked up about £800 for the place part alone.

At least if you go into your 5th leg with 4/5 then there are easy enough covers/favours you can call in. One simple option, just lay the final leg on betfair to same stake as whatever cashout is being offered. That way you're essentially guaranteeing the c/o value plus profit at a minimum or winning the original minus c/o value. Will still provide many scoops.

Just my own fault today but it was their money anyway  Pint

You won’t see too many better lights out KO punches than that one

A Povetkin KO to Whyte was always on the cards so nice call from Quaggy. I went with that and the Taylor draw and to be honest, it looked like it could end a draw. Peerson definitely upped it and at one point I thought Quaggy was on for his double. Felt the scoring was a little too generous to Taylor, the fight was closer than that. Decent bout that though.

Yeah but that is what makes Povetkin so dangerous. You have to change strategy with him and not let him get in. Whyte is notoriously poor at dropping his guard. Povetkin can hold a punch too.

Didn’t get the double in but wasn’t missing out on the 6/1 for a Povetkin knockout.
He has always been easy to hit and easy to hurt, Povetkin had only lost to Wlad and AJ - they ain’t bad.
