Rubbish thread.  Crash

One thought though, the next time we do play Palace at home, and Palace score a goal:

Will the Crystal Palace anthem 'Glad all over' blare out through the county ground speakers as Palace celebrate?
and will the thousands of home fans in the Arkells, Don Rogers and even the fucking Town End so help me god, gleefully clap along to it?  Hmmm

Would have worked when we played Bury at the CG, more or less exactly 35 years ago.  Probably around that time it was released as well.

The 35th anniversary of which is tomorrow.

What a week that was: Town 8 Bury 0, Town 4 Arsenal 3. And London Calling was released. Happy days.

Highest scoring game I have ever been to watch with STFC. The Bury keeper John Forrest was named in the team of the season the year before and he had a mare against us.

Mine also.
Andy Rowland was great mates with Forrest as well.
Scored 2 I believe but McHale scored a belter in the SB.
4-0 at halftime if I recall.

Arsenal away was a great game.

Yep we had recently signed handy Andy from them and Forrest played a lot of games for Bobby Smith.

Will never forget big Billy Tucker scoring at Highbury.
