I saw this last night but thought it may be too good to be true and may be a scam?

Every major retailer bar Amazon appears to have crashed their website.

How unpredictable was this surge in activity, really? It's not hard to expand your storage.

I've spent most of the last 12 hours slagging it off, but have just bought luggage - something I actually need/want - at massive knockdown prices so no longer grumbling!

£304.99 for a PS4 GTA bundle is pretty impressive.....I was hoping for a bit more discount though considering how outrageously low Black Friday prices are supposed to be. I'll take my chances on waiting for the new year sales I think, hopefully it pays off.

Probably deliberate. Its like the virtual equivalent of queuing outside the door.

On the one hand, it can be difficult to judge what the demand will be and it's possible they got it wrong.

But on the other, it is simple to set things up so you can add additional capacity on demand (especially through cloud services such as Amazon and Azure) so there really is no excuse for it. As you point out, Amazon can cope so why can't others.

Tesco direct is down/slow. They are stopping people accessing it.

I've tried to get onto Currys, best they could offer was a 40 minute wait - that was down from an hour!!  But i managed to get what I wanted on another site, got a 299 camera for 143 delivered!

I've just walked down the Co-Op and got a loaf of bread and a Twirl.

What's all the fuss about?
