News from the world beaters down the road.

"Just been talking to my Swindon Town mate who is well in at the County ground, he has just given me this insight into Swindon's cash flow situation. Apparently Swindle have played one home game in the last six and that was Tuesday when only 6500 turned up for the Rochdale game. This Saturday they are at home again to Colchester with yes you guessed it another money spinning 7000 crowd anticipated with a quid a kid attraction. All of this is causing cash flow problems again at Swindon and they are allegedly desperate to play us on the 15th because of the revenue it will generate even if it is played with players missing.
I suggested to him I would organise a mass boycott to force them to sell in January.
 Thoughts"

This is of course bollocks. It's obvious that if we keep getting 6,500-7,000 attendances we're going to have to sell. Power has said that himself.

Let's just hope it doesn't come to that.

We're sustainable at the minute, but we can't stay that way on low crowds.

At least last year we had the income from Chelsea, so we have to hope the FA Cup gets us a just-as-fruitful match with a good £££ value.

Our crowds are unusually low for us, about 1-2k down on what I would expect, but we get better gates than most of this division. City, Bradford, Preston, Sheffield United, Coventry and Barnsley are the exception but that is no surprise.

"It just goes to show once again that they will never move forward by having this rediculous short term policy by letting clubs higher up the league ladder use them as a door step to blood players."

yes, because they have achieved so much more than us over the years...
