He has been in Scotland a bit this week so I wouldn't be surprised if it was Billy Connolly...trying to link himself to the Scots in any way he can.

The question is a bit vague, isn't it? I remember an old quiz question to do with Cameron picking "Ernie" by Benny Hill as one of his Desert Island Discs. Probably doesn't fit this question, though. Edit: Oops, sorry Audrey! Just spotted you already gave this.

Right, comics from my era as a kid (I'm slightly younger than Cammy) Buster Dandy Beano Whizzer and Chips Eagle Commando Er...can't remember any more. What was Korky the cat in?
