No, thats wrong.

As there are 8 loaves, and three men, think of it in thirds of a loaf. If the food is split equally, each man ends up with 8 thirds of a loaf. Man 1 brought 9 thirds to the party, man 2 brought 15 and man 3 none.

So man 1 ends up 1 third down, man 2, 7 thirds down and man 3 8 thirds up. So he should give 1 guinea to man 1 and 7 guineas to man 2.
