Well, if Adam Rooney and Miles Storey can score for fun in the SPL, I wouldn't get too excited if I was a pissed-stained, turd-eating cuntflake.

Apparently they matched his minimum fee release clause of around £250k.

Isn't that the sort of figure we got for Miles?  Seems about the going rate for goals in the SPL.

I believe you are correct, the standard of the Scots Prem is not the greatest but a goalscorer who can get 20+ at any level of Conference upwards must be worth that to any club in our league.

Good mate of mine is a dundee fan, we'd been saying he might have been a player we might have gone for.

Yes....could be a good signing for them.  It must be the first time this century they've spent a fee on a player.

Very poor at Barnsley the season before. It seems that even the most average of strikers can score in the SPL no not really a barometer of football league quality.

The fee for Roofe from WBA was supposed to be between £100k and £150k but was undisclosed at the time.

They can't have paid that much for any player in years though.

Storey scored 11 goals in 30 games in Scotland, so not exactly prolific

Most of the SPL is league 1 standard so decent signing for them.

Seen him play a few times, he is pretty decent and should have a bit of fun at this level

Oxford also sign Tyler Roberts on loan from WBA on a season long loan. Very well thought of at West Brom apparently.

They seem to have solved their striker shortage whilst we are still fannying around with Obika and Hylton as our only strikers.

Bar 3 players they have a pretty much brand new first team. Be interesting to see whether that approach works or not.

They have bought players and thus are obviously going to be promoted.....
