Cotterill reckons he turned down more money at Leeds to sign for City.

I heard Leeds wouldnt match his wage demands  Hmmm
Whatever way the story goes he is a decent signing for shitty

Just goes to show he is a mercenary footballer who will probably move on again with a year.  Wonder how much Shitty are over their percentage financial quota this season.

I'm hearing Kieran Agard has accepted less money to join Bristol City than he was asking for from Leeds United last week!

Leeds could not agree personal terms with the forward and were unwilling to raise their offer to meet his wage requirements.

Something not reading right here, reported Leeds had agreed a fee of over £800,000 but couldn't agree personal terms so did Shitty match that offer?  He is getting a good dab in the hand I would guess.

But if Lansdowne is happy to do it there isn't a problem. They are incredibly lucky to have him, unfortunately.

Its only going to fall down when Lansdowne has had enough/dies, because like ourselves I doubt there will be a big queue of people interested in the unless he really has somehow guided them to the promised land*

* is there new stadium to be owned by the club? Maybe that will change things.

No new stadium now, redeveloping Ashton Gate - another three-sided stadium at the moment, albeit temporarily, unlike some clubs around here!!  Also home to Bristol rugby now with a new part synthetic pitch which may be the way to go.

In fact, the media tend to wank over them being a 'big club' and what a travesty it is that they're in League 1...well, the media down my way (near Southampton) do, anyway.

But we were spending money we didn't have and that Black didn't really want to give away.

Bristol City are spending money that Lansdown is quite prepared to just write off.

Afraid so. Society in general really. We (mostly) all want more than we have.

Exactly Sam. Lansdowne is happy enough to blow 10m a year chasing the dream.

It's hilariously unbelievable that Bristol City are in League One given the money Lansdown has spent on them. He's had similar with Bristol RFC who keep missing out on promotion.

Lansdown's attitude towards football ownership should be envied.
