Interesting that Darragh McAnthony thinks that Brighton youth players are too expensive to take on loan..

They owe us for George Barker. Tbf, this is where personal relationships come to the fore, with PB being bestest buddies with Hughton.

A bit like Tactics and Spurs - but without being a melt

Yeah I guess so.

Kingy getting Milner from Peter Reid (Monkeys head) was my favourite example. Though you only have to look back at tactics Tim and Spurs

PB did say he was 'OFFERED' a player from the south coast. I think most of us have guessed it's Alzate.

Didn't specify the South coast of which country? Waterford?

Adam Rooney (only 30) has gone from Aberdeen to Salford City. That's got to be some signing for them hasn't it.

Nice to see he's come out of retirement (Scottish Football).

Romain Vincelot signs for Crawley. Hell of a signing for them, I'd have loved him here.

Would you have taken Diagouraga over him? I would, he has done it at a higher level. Still a decent signing for Crawley mind.

Both are defensive minded midfielders - what with the options we already have at the club in that area and the need for recruits elsewhere, I don't think signing the pair of them would ever have been an option.
