http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/aug/21/brad-smith-socceroos-squad-liverpoolAlthough it is great that our players are being selected as full internationals it is also a big headache for Cooper losing 2 key players. Hopefully yaser gets a call up for Iraq then we can ask for a postponement .

If Iraq are playing Kas will definitely get a call, so hopefully we'll get the game(s) off.

I see that Iraq are due to play Peru on Thursday 4th September - so we could well have a postponement. Has that ever happened for us before?

It's happened against us a few times.....can't remember it happening for us, but might have happened in the early 90's I suppose and I've forgotten. This season is going to have numerous disruptions due to Platini's over bloated Euro 16....these football freeish international break weekends are increasingly annoying. Further u21 players count in the mix, and I can see Louis Thompson getting called up by the Sheepshaggers

We better pray for shit weather in England over January because Australia and Iraq are both at the AFC Asian Cup.

Mass also got on. including the introduction of Massimo Luongo in midfield, who showed some impressive touches.

Earning his first start in the Green and Gold, Luongo was Australia’s best in an attacking midfield role showing some classy touches and linking up well with Tim Cahill.
Wright was also superb, capping his debut with what turned out to be the match-sealing goal in the 3-2 win at Craven Cottage.
“Mass (Luongo) was excellent. If anything we could have used him more,” Postecoglou told Fox Sports.
“With some clever runs off the ball we could have got more out of him. He’s a very talented young player, we’ll keep putting him out there and he’ll keep learning every time he plays.

Oz's MoM. Do we get a month's winter break if our 3 are at the Asian Cup?

I think we only get postponements during an international break
