.....v Wycombe?

King would certainly rest him for this game.

Wycombe have Ian Stonebridge ex Plymuff, who's a useful replacement.

I've never understood King's farting around with his side for these games, its a game we need to win....we'll be mid table at best this season.

Generating a bit of a buzz from a cup run, is something King has dismally failed to do.

We need to win this one for financial imperative and to get one over Mooney

My side for match

Heaton (good time to try him out)
Jenkins O'Hanlon Ifil Smith
Heath Migz Whalley Nicolau
Fallon Roberts

Subs Evans Pook Reeves Shakes Cureton

The LDV defeat last season, as stupid as it sounds, really fucked me off Reg.  A day out at Cardiff would have been a nice way to remember last season.  As would have the home game against 'Boro.

So I agree Reg let's try and get somewhere in the cups this year, as cup runs generate interest, which generates money for the club,

As for Mooney, I expect him to be on the bench.  Will be nice to see John G back though.

We should be able to put out a competetive team whilst leaving out Evans (knee) O'Hanlon (ill) and a couple of others.

I don't agree with putting out weak sides though, it's stupid.

Roberts and Thorpe upfront is still a good partnership.

The way things are,any team would be much of a muchness. As for the original question-he'd better be-the main reason Im travelling up from Kent is to tell that money-grabbing arsehole what I think of him.

We could really do with a nice cup run but if king changes too much there won't be one because wycombe seem to be quite a handy side. Their forward Tyson sounds like a good player too,so i'm worried about the result on tuesday, cause if we lose, sods law decrees that wycombe will get the scum in the next round.

I think the team will be this....

GK - Heaton (I think he would benefit from a run out for the 1st XI)

RB - Jenkins (Collins not allowed to play)
CB - Comyn-Platt (O'Hanlon's been unwell)
CB - Ifil
LB - Smith

MF - Shakes
MF - Migz (needs a run out and Whalley's been unwell)
MF - Pook
MF - Nicolau

ST - Roberts
ST - Thorpe (both would benefit from 90 mins)

That's the side I would play. We certainly need to win but I reckon that line up should be more than up to the task.

I think OST is about right there, that's basically the team I predicted too, Reeves may feature at some point and with Migz it depends on fitness but I don't think that will be far off.

I think Heath might start instead of Shakes or one of the strikers but that looks very Andy King .... except you missed out the shock inclusion of one of the players in an abnormal position?? :king:

Remembering I haven't watched this team yet:

Evans (good to get games in as a keeper although there is a good argument for Heaton)

Jenks
Ifil
Seano (or Comyn-Platt if ill)
Smith

Summerbee
Whalley (if fit)
Migs (if fit)
Nicolau

Cureton
Fallon

Bench: Heaton, C-P (if not starting), Pook, Shakes, Roberts

PS Mooney had better play, I'm not paying £14 to watch him run up and down the touchline...

Well King has prettty much indicated that Thorpe and Roberts will be playing, which makes sense, give them a chance to prove why they should be first choice.
