“@BBCCambsSport:
Cambridge United are set to face Shaktar Donetsk, Espanyol and West Ham in a pre-season tournament at the Abbey on July 19th/20th.#cufc

What the actual fuck

Still, least we will have Petersfield  Roll Eyes
You don't actually think that those teams will play more than 2 or 3 first team players do you?

It will be their development sides, last season we had Spurs at home who brought almost their entire first team squad.

Oh I don't know. You're not going to make three first team players travel with a bunch of kids. Espanyol will take a strong team as Espanyol B will have their own pre-season schedule.

I was thinking that.....but I'm now wondering if the game v Los Periquitos actually happened, or if it was just proposed, and never materialised.

We  got completely mullered by Sporting, who if memory serves had Luis Figo playing.  We've also had friendlies v Real Sociedad and Sporting Gijon.

David Villa. Sam Parkin scored more than him that day.

The Spaniards don't travel that well in their own country, let alone to another.

Oh and don't put your hand on it when hot, or worse still sit on it forgetting it's on.

My brother had (might still have) a nice fan shaped scar on his arse where he stumbled and sat on the top of a hot paraffin heater when drying off after a bath when we were kids. Made his eyes water a tad Crying

Yeah, make sure you have a bit of ventilation....and that you don't allow it to run out of fuel....burns the wick, so then doesn't work efficiently.

Wicks? Didn't know I'd need wicks. Where am I going to find those in rural France?

Not Wickes, obviously.
