Well yes, DM'ing someone to respond isn't the best of ideas.

To be fair, the guy did call him a fat cunt!

I called him a cunt and not even a hint of a reply.

I feel robbed.

Are you blocked by him though? Do you actually see tweets from someone on your feed if you've blocked them?

I only have him down as a fat bullshitting chancer. I'll upgrade his rating to cunt if it transpires he's trying to stiff the club out of cash.

One thing that Jed did do well was to create a sense of togetherness.  He didn't have the tools (in terms of finance or ability) to undertake transformation projects, but he attended to a number of small scale improvements at minimal cost.  If it is now shown that he's simply after a pay off - having invested so little cash himself - then his previous efforts will be have been shown to be simply a front, and the 'chancer' tag well justified.

Trying to? He already has - Jed's merry band all paid themselves a fat consultancy fee when they took over, as confirmed by his resident spokestwat/alter ego detxer earlier in this thread.

But even Watkins (who I rate highly) was paid a wage by the club. I could kind of forgive it given he gave us the only way out of Black bailing.

I'm not trying to defend Jed, just not sure if this warrants a cunt upgrade yet. I guess that depends on how much he took out, and whether it was normal to do so and justifiable.

One thing that crossed my mind recently was the Nigel Eady money. I believe one condition of this money was that it could be used for ground improvements. I really hope that this money is still safe and sound and not been used for things such as the town end bar.

250k each for the initial "consultancy fee", supposedly. God knows how much else on top of that. Possibly nothing, but I think the popular assumption is that he was also paid off by Power when he was moved on. Either way a handsome profit on a £1 investment
whether it was normal to do so
By who's standards? By the standards of far too many shysters in football, yes, sadly all too common. By normal business standards? Well, I don't have exact figures on how common it would be for the new owners of businesses to pay themselves a large bonus just for acquiring the business and before they've yet contributed anything to it, but I'd guess not many successful ones. Or at least not ones that wish to stay that way.
and justifiable.
Think you can answer that one yourself.

Yes but Watkins was an employee of the club bought in by the owners to do a specific job, one most agree he did well.

Jed was the owner.
