I love hot sauces. Wiltshire Chilli Farm are good, and I've had a few nice ones that I'll try and remember from other places.
Spiciest thing I've ever eaten was a chicken skewer in Seoul, from a street stall that sold them in 'mild', 'spicy' and 'strong spicy'. Had the latter and fuck me it was well named, ended up sweating violently from every pore and crying despite it being about 2 degrees. An American guy with me had some after giving it the big one and spent the rest of the evening on the loo.
Thermonuclear stuff.

The hot sauce emporium in St. Nick's market is well worth a visit. Got some blair's after death sauce from there. Used about a third of a bottle in 3 years. Don't bother using it to cook with any more, just put a bit on my finger to put on me tongue every now and then for a bit of a chilli high.
There's a bloke that used to review the sauces from there by chomping on a whole tablespoon of the stuff, filming it and the resulting burn and then stick it on YouTube. Hilarious. Complete nutter.

I don't mind a little bit of spice when people burn themselves to eat... Seems utterly pointless to me!

I love that sweaty, almost euphoric buzz you get when you absolutely stuff your face with spicy food.

I've grown into spicy food for the opposite reason to you as the missus loves spicy food. I hate admitting to her that the food she has made is too spicy for me so I have grown to appreciate it more through necessity!

How spicy are we talking though? I can go as far as hot as nandos, after that it becomes more painful than enjoyable!

Work through the pain, you will soon get used to it and want even more and more, until you get to the Phaal stage.

I had never heard of Phaal before! It sounds ridiculous! http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/worlds-hottest-curry-phaal-guy-1938941
