Thatcher's, Henry Weston and Stowford yum yum yum.

Been drinking a lot of Desperados lately instead. Love that shit.

I love cider. They get some cracking guest ones in wetherspoons pubs.
Old Rosie is lovely and strong as fuck. Black dragon,a Welsh cider I also like and is another strong one at 7.5%
Old rascal I used to buy in 2l bottles from asda but they don't do it anymore.
I think magners is about the best stuff from a can. That along with stowfords is what I drink on a session. Lawn offy does 24 cans of stowfords for £22.

Bloody lovely outside today so looks like a good justification to bump this thread. Just been the the shops and treated myself to a pleasant afternoon:

The Rascal is an old favourite, but not had the other two before.

Be interested to see what you think of the Henneys - one I have never quite taken to.

Wasn't all that great if I'm honest. Not terrible, but a bit ho hum.

The Sheppy's was better but also nothing special. Both fell short of Thatcher's Gold, which I use as a bit of a Cider watermark for its ubiquity and excellence.

The Old Rascal may be left for tomorrow, but will no doubt be the best of them.

A bit ho-hum - glad its not just me. It always seems a bit flat/stale.

Stale seems a bit harsh, I can see flat though, it's not got much depth of flavour. Cheaper ciders (available on tap from all bad pubs) would mask that by carbonating the shit out of it but as they haven't, it just ends up being pretty plain.

Had a very nice pint of Thistly Cross Whisky Cask cider at the Chippenham beer festival last night. A good end of evening type cider, really nice hint of whisky, definitely not your normal cider, not sure I'd drink it all night as it tastes sweet.  At 6.9% I'm not sure I could even if I wanted to anyway. I recommend trying it if you see it about.

Spot of thread necromancy.

Inch's have been advertising heavily and (importantly) was cheap in Tesco so I decided to buy one to give it a try. Surprisingly terrible - I notice from the back it's a product of Bulmers. Suspect it's made from their leftovers, as it's concentrated apple juice and added sugar.

I'm not against a sweet cider on a sunny day but this just tastes a bit shit tbh.
