Is it possible to use a spare BT home hub to make a wireless repeater?

Basically I need to send the wireless signal from the front of the house to the back so I can plug in an old Xbox into the homehub and connect to Xbox live.  The Xbox dosent have an wireless adapter.

I know I can use an Ethernet cable to set up a second WiFi network but can I do this wirelessly?

Thanks

I doubt a homehub is capable of acting as a repeater. Probably the easiest way would be to buy a TP Link repeater.

You can use it several different ways, but most applicable to you is to either to repeat your current network's wireless or to simply plug your Xbox into it and then allow it to act as a wireless adapter.

I've used both of these, without issue.

Cheers Barry - I also have a netgear router that I could use if it would work. I am just trying to avoid any additional expenditure.

Other options include buying the Xbox Adapter or powerline adapter which seems a similar price to those you linked to.

What version of the homehub do you have? With some it is possible to butcher it into a sort of wireless AP.

Ah, just read your first post again. You want the WAN part to be delivered wirelessly. Can't be done with the HH 2 or 3.

This is for connecting them with ethernet, but you may be able to do it wirelessly with some tinkering.

Thank all. Might just go down the powerline adapter route, seems cheapest option unless I can get a wireless adapter on eBay.
