It staggers me that wages in player contracts are not significantly adjusted to take into account relegation.
Or maybe they are?
Some clubs do it. I know Newcastle did. I'm pretty sure we did when we went to L2 hence the exodus. I read yesterday that if Man U dont qualify for the champs league all players wages automatically reduce by 25%. Most dont though ala Bolton, Birmingham etc.

I dread to think what Wolves over spend must be Premier to L1 in 2 seasons if they had nothing written into contracts.

They've got parachute payments to help them out though.
It's still scary, rumour has it Doyle is still on £40Kish. His goalscoring record in league one is awful as well.

Ii could be argued that Black has more financial nous than Lansdown. How much of his personal fortune has he spunked away on the slavetraders?
I'm not sure how you judge. Lansdown has generated a greater value over a longer period of time, and then chosen to spend a chunk on City. I don't see how that makes him a tosser.

I never said he was a tosser. What I said was he has spent a far larger amount on city than black did on us. City are currently languishing at the bottom of league one. Money well spent?
