Looks like Chippenham are doing alright with home friendlies, Ipswich this coming Saturday then Exeter and announced early a Swansea eleven also visit this month. Should bring in some extra revenue for them.

I think it was Morshead  who had the best quip saying only Town could have induced fixture congestion in pre-season.

Madness! You could understand it if it was one big game and one local game where you could send the development squad.

I figure that the Spurs game is seen as a money-spinner that was too good to turn down, yet we're contractually obliged to keep the Brum fixture. It's the only reason I can think of for the 'pile-up'.

think they were trying to move the Birmingham fixture after the Spurs one was announced, guess Birmingham weren't in the mood to do us any favours

We have a squad of 27 players, surely we can just play 2 different teams. Give a load of trialists the Brum game maybe?

But Reg said earlier we're only just going to be able to field one team, let alone two. :-)

Plus half of them are likely to be shit according to arriba, so Reg isn't far wrong.

I'm not 100% sure we have a squad of 27 but we should have enough players to cover the 2 matches.

Makes sense to put the spurs lads in the same game, they will have probably formed a clique by then apparently
