The field above chaps.....Mcilroy is massive at 25/1....Tiger paltry at 6.

Looking forward to it this year starting Thursday....a relatively short course at Merrion could suit the likes of Donald,Poulter or Mcdowell.

Good each way value could be Harrington who has been bothering the leader board at long last recently....Rose is knocking on the door too.

My tip is Phil Mickleson to win ...coming to the boil with a second place last week.

Good luck to Swindons David Howell.....will do well to make the cut.

The course sounds totally unsuitable for a Championship of this calibre i.e. a par 3 of 115 yards. That's ok for the 17th at Sawgrass but this a hole is nothing like that.

GMac would be my shout but with a course of this nature i can see a long shot taking the prize.

To be fair the other par 3 holes are monsters...rather bizarre also that the only two Par 5 holes are right at the begining.

Also they dont have flags on the poles...they have wicker baskets!

Any cunt could win it. Short and soft - its target golf.

Woods, Rose and Rors e/w for me. Rory's price for the best player of his generation is a good one

Great finale to it. Was nice watching the best players in the world look like a hacker like me. Course is brutal

100% agree. Much better viewing than watching the normal PGA tour churning out sub 20's to win every week.
