Fact is, he's a naughty boy ref Nikki Lauder and bunk ups and Sprogs etc.  But I paid the fucker through my ST to score goals...and he never let me down on that front.

Freescoring both on and off the pitch then

Fully agree with you on that. In my opinion he was the best finisher I've seen in a Town shirt.

Parkin > Cox > Austin

In terms of what they did for town I totally agree. Ability wise then things are different IMO.

Parkin was more clinical than Austin. Cox had more natural ability than both the others. Austin had a knack of being in the right place at the right time. Parkin gets the nod for me overall as he often had clueless oafs as strike partners yet still hammered them in.

This could be a landmark moment where we both agree on something

White was such an untidy player to watch, wore his shorts upto his chest, had no grasp of the offside rule yet still scored shit loads and worked his nuts off. A true great? no, But a cult hero for sure.

For me Cox is the best footballer of the 3 (by some distance), Parkin probably the best target man and best servant to the club, Austin the best goalscorer (2010/11 being a case in point where he scored with virtually every shot he had on target).

Austin will play more premier league games than Cox if he knuckles down.

I agree with DMR too Sonic so now you really are in trouble. Austin the most natural goalscorer of the three mind.

Ability? If you're talking about natural goal scoring abiility, Austin for me is the best out of the three. For all round footballing ability I'd agree that Cox is the best.

I am in the Austin camp, you cannot teach the natural ability he had to finish.  To my mind Cox had one major problem, his ability to bring a ball down and keep it at his feet was a little bit lacking, bounced away from him too many times, that said still a good footballer and instinctive finisher.
