Would be interested to hear your views on Rome as planning a trip in November for 3 nights

Went in the Summer
if you are going to visit the main sites, eg Colosseum and Vatican City pre book your tickets, the queues are huge, although probably not so bad in November, also take an empty water bottle around with you and fill up from the drinking fountains rather than paying 2euros from the street merchants

Pre-booking tickets is a good tip, as WR5 says queuing can be an issue.

If it helps, Rome is the most wonderful, beautiful, stunning and interesting city I've ever been to.

One tip: "head down and go for it" is the only way you will ever cross a Roman road.
