128 all out. Lead of 233.
Cook and Root running off to bat.
Bat for a day and make hay .... Aus will need 600 when there openers return!
Be interesting to see how long they bat for? Will probably try and bat until Sunday and maybe declare an hour or so before lunch? Alot depend on how quick England score. Bit knock for Joe Root, could do with a score.

Anyone beginning to feel just that little bit sorry for the Aussies?

Nope. They weren't sorry for us when they beat us 5-0 !! And to top it off, Root edges...and Haddin and Clarke look at each other !!

This is still not as bad as Boxing Day 2010 at the MCG for the Aussies.
That will take some beating as one of the worst cricketing days for Australia, in front of 90,000...or 10,000 Poms at the end of the day's play.

What a strange day of cricket, and it hasn't finished yet! England 23-2 with a lead of 256...I'd potentially say that's enough already as this pitch is going to spin more and more then next 2 days! I can't see it lasting much more than the morning session of Day 4 at this rate! England's bowlers did the job and Swanny bowled excellently...set up for a match haul of 10 wickets+ for him!

Have to say after the second innings of the first test when England were in a bit of trouble I thought perhaps he had got rid of that perception of not scoring runs when coming in to bat in a bit of a crisis situation. I guess not

Maybe not in match terms, but 22-2 is hardly a flying start to an innings.

That wasn't even a "KP being KP" and throwing the bat a bit too enthusiastically moment. That just seemed fucking careless

Like he couldn't care less....shows how low the Aussies are,we are trouncing them with a poor playing KP in tow....though to be fair it was a decent second innings knock in the first test.
But no worries he will come good in Australia...where there will be more of a challenge on and off the square.
