Two things that should happen, both things could already be in place
  - Hawkeye should report periods of being unservicable.
  - The referee or moreso the VAR review room should be able to review a clear and obvious Hawkeye error.

A 1 in 9000 failure rate is hardly a big issue in the technology.

That was my point, sort of, that blaming the technology takes away the fact the linesman should be able to see a fucking ball behind a post if they are paying attention.  The technology nearly always works, doesn't mean the officials can just passenger ride the game.  I'd be fuming with that official if it was a Swindon goal not given - it was so far behind the line he pushed it back onto the back of the post!

And I know this wouldn't happen, but surely someone has seen the video for both teams at half time - get together and have a word, let Sheff Utd score from the kick off int he second half and play on from there.  Once you bring technology into the game, and the officials abandon their responsibility, you can;t really fall behind the argument of it evens itself out, or potential doubt.

Chester players have waived both their wages and any potential promotion bonuses so the club can afford to participate in the Conference North play-offs. Putting potential glory and the good of the club before money, that's quite refreshing in the modern game.
