Fucking hell, I was taking the piss, calm down.

Of course you were and so was I... Although you were taking the piss, it was with undertones of genuity. Wonder who'll get thought of as if they are fibbing about that claim though? If you missed it, the "PS" part was definitely taking the piss. I liked what you put. hence the winky wanky face. I'm too dry but whatever.

You miss the point though Paul. He fabricates stuff (and yes not in the necessarily obvious way to some). Which is what I was alluding to. Not whether you or I write better than the other. Couldn't really give a fuck about that.

Off out for a beer...in the garden...oh fuck I don't even have a garden.

Fair enough, what does he make up? Or rather how do you know that?
And for the record you write far better than I do. Just with a little more ... verbosity Smiley

Enjoy the beer

I don't "know" it for sure, as previously stated but I don't know, do people have jobs where they can identify when people are lying via written word? Probably. Not saying I'm that but going on previous things he's written and those coming up splodge too. That's why I really thought you were giving Reevesy the biggest whoosh going.

Oh I know I go on at length and coming from a largish family where you can't get a word in edgeways probably has something to do with it (3 sisters and mother, along with 5 aunties and mostly female cousins).

It's probably why I need to try and write a proper screenplay, rather than spewing bollocks on here.

Thanks, I shall do. Yourself too Paul.

The father of French boxer Alexis Vastine, who died in a helicopter crash in 2015, auctioned his kit to raise money for health workers fighting Covid19. Laporte bought the kit in the auction so that he could immediately return it to Vastine's family.

Man Utd to trial safe standing next season. Or rather "the next season when there are any spectators present"

I'll be too old to stand by then, and demanding an armchair.

Harry Kane sponsoring Leyton Orient's Home, Away and 3rd kits next season as a way of giving back to the club where he made his debut. Fair play. He's now done more to support L2 football than the FA and Premier League combined.

Marcus Rashford, just in full. What a great young man.

Fair play to the kid. Great gesture.

Bit of a humble brag in the first few paragraphs though.

Great stuff. Mad that the country's moral authority now seems to consist of a 100 year old man and a 22 year old Manchester United striker, but it seems the right thing seems will be done and hopefully it encourages more sport stars to use their platforms. Good thing he didn't 'stick to football' as people occasionally seem to think they should...

Fair play.

He should be really pleased with himself. He did a very good thing.

Sad it took a footballer to make the government realise that making 1.3m kids go hungry was not a good thing to do but good luck to the fella!

How old is he - 22? Just think what we were all doing at his age. Would be far easier for him to keep his head down and enjoy life as a multi-millionaire. Amazing and fantastic to see what he’s been doing and to hear him explain why through his own experience of being hungry as a kid - so impressive.

Ordinarily I'd be the first to decry 'whataboutery' but compare him to the selfish behaviour of Kyle Walker during lockdown. Fair fucks to Rashford, great footballer but even better human being,
