No. Dv is the voice of repetitive droning. di Canio's gone, get over it girls.

Whether Di Canio was still here, at another club or dead - he was still a bloody good manager that we miss and will spend years thinking 'what if'

Say what you like about his style of management - but the fact is no matter how he did it, he got the best out of our players - most of which are far from talented enough to be top end L1 players.

Good job you weren't around when Macari was appointed then.
It's a different age today, his ilk of manager won't be part of the new breed. I've always wondered why there are so many Scottish managers? Genuine question, there seems to be a very high proportion of Scottish managers in the English game.

You wouldn't have appointed PDC then, he didn't meet your requirements
I'm on about appointing PDC's successor, we needed someone who fulfilled those 3 criteria.

Charisma - to give the club a lift in the final run in
Managerial experience - pretty vital for the situation we found ourselves in.
Non-Scottish - I'm sick to death of dour Scottish managers.

Idioms for ilk:

of that ilk, (in Scotland) of the same family name or place. of the same class or kind.
