Just watched the highlights on the OS - couldn't believe the number of chances we created but only managed to finish with a bicycle kick. Williams looks to go for placement and misses the target too often.
Was that Rory Fallon overhead kick not around easter time as well? |

It was definitely over the Easter period, yes. We beat Notts 1-0 and then won 2-0 at Crewe on the Monday I think. Those two wins all but sealed promotion that season and of course we went on to win the league. |

15 shots off target and 5 shots on target, compaired to Oldham who has 2 shots on target and 4 off target, we also had 8 corners to their 1.
The lack of goals from corners is another frustration. We've had a ridiculous amount of corners this season and I think scored twice from then. We never seem to have anyone deep or at the back post, which is where most of them end up. Why is that? |

You are right we just don't seem to be able to capitalise on our corners and set pieces much this season....but thats been the same under PdC as it is now. More so since Ritchie left though.
I don't know if thats because we don't have a good set piece taker or because our corner and free kick routines are not up to scratch, or that we can't make the most of the chances we do get from corners etc......sounds like a lack of good finishing again I guess.
