Next manager markets are the most ridiculous thing going. Harry Reknapp was about 1/5 to take over at Newcastle before Kinnear got the job.

Anyone remember when people were betting a few £k on John Ward being our new manager?

Its all a cunning plan.

Paolo resigns. Phil Spencer starts lumping cash on Paolo to be next manager of Swindon Town at 5/1. Others in the cash consortium also lump on.

Paolo announces that he is to come back.

Paolo has cash to fund the players needed for promotion to the Championship.

This is clearly total bollocks but I wonder if its something that Jed might have actually thought about doing. (Given he's dodgy and all that!)

I've thought about that being a good way to raise some funds for the club. Just need them to tip off a few people with money who back it to the hilt, then cash in and give the money to the club. Put out some false rumours as well to try and keep the odds decent, maybe even interview others to throw people off the scent.

Remember on something like this, the amount of people betting is relatively small, so it only takes a few bets to change the odds.

So, what's probably happened is this, a couple of punters saw a few twitter comments, Jed saying he'll call him, some kid claiming to have seen PDC get on the bus, and had a flutter.

The bookies then altered the odds accordingly.

Either that or he is on the Bus, and the players are all topping up their wages.

Incidentally, if you were a managers agent,  and were trying to find him work, wouldn't it be worth whacking a couple of £100 quid bets on your client every time a suitable opening came up. Wouldn't get him the job, but would get his name out there at least.

I think we stay with an Italian and I think we look at the recent graduates of the UEFA Pro course.

I would take the top name on that list:

Buckle quits Luton for 'personal reasons'.

Hopefully not, that Jed has 'personally' promised him loads of cash to come here

If he's seen around Wiltshire in the next few days it's because, unless he has moved he lives here ( Corsham area ) and not because he's heading to the CG. ( Although he could be )
