Is there anywhere in Swindon town centre you can park for free, during work hours?

Broad Street
Think you will find it is a residents parking zone around there.

Definitely not Shrivenham Road. You have to live there to park there and walk into town (unless you're Arriba).

A lot of people park around the dunsford close area just the other side of kings hill and just walk down the old canal path. About 5 minutes brisk walk.

No, but it is much cheaper than parking in town, 5 minute walk.

Good old Swindon Borough Council.  Peculiar reference to "Dammas Lane" in that link.  Dammas Lane is in Old Town, near to The Square.
