City is the proper derby for me.

Couldn't give a shit about Oxford or Reading, they are local games as far as I'm concerned

Never forget the 3-1 at the madejski. Grazioli, invincibile, kuffour. Run run run run reading! Definitely a derby and would be a welcome return

As mentioned earlier, where you live/were brought up has a massive influence on what you regard as our main derby game.

Reading IS a Derby and always a great away day.

Many good memories from the 70's and 80's at Elm Park.

I used to like that ground.  (Early 1990s memories for me though.)  Not hard to see why they left, but it had something about it.

My first visit was a pre-season friendly.  Forget the score...but remember we had just signed Craig Maskell from them days before (asserting our dominance over them even before kick off!), so must have at the start of the 1992/93 promotion season.  Lovely summer evening.

Nice unseasonably hot October day too...

Reading is still nothing more than a slightly more interesting than someone like Bury game for me.

Some fool I know decided Elm Park was a better bet than St Andrews for an Easter away day in the early 90s. Up there with the world's decisions.

The clutch on that Mini Metro was shagged, and I was forbidden from taking it (and you) as far as Birmingham.  Trust me, I did try.

I had to go to the club doctors that day cos they put the windows in on the buses from the town centre. Was pissed as a fart covered in blood. Nice.

the 3-1 game was certainly enjoyable.

As previously stated where you grow up sure has an impact on which games are biggest - I always love us to beat the Bristol team - having live near Bristol.
I don't give a toss about Reading, my distain for them comes from their 'fans' trying to belittle Swindon despite many of whom had probably never been to Elm Park and used to journey to watch Chelsea before Reading became successful
